Hey Lin,
I do use OpenOffice on my Laptop, and it runs without any problem considering my laptop is aged. Some software could be conflicting with the program. I recommend you to remove the previous completely and upgrade to the newest version. Please try that.

Hi Bo!
I have this only version 1.1.0 and am TODAY having a problem editing an xls (Excel ) file that I am desperate to use! (But not desperate enough to pay $ for MS Excel!
This is a Big Memory Hog!!! And I do not have any of those small devises but do have a laptop with very little memory.
Do you have any suggestions? Should I uninstall this one and try to install the newest version and see if that opens this Excell file?
Any other free programs that I can use to edit excel files???
Thanks in advance,
Lin
