People think it’s a hot trick, but it’s really not. Google doesn’t like to see wrong labels right above Adsense ad units. let’s review Adsense’s TOS.
Publishers may not label the ads with text other than “sponsored links” or “advertisements.” This includes any text directly above our ads that could be confused with, or attempt to be associated with Google ads.
TOS clearly states that publishers may not use labels other than “sponsored links” or “advertisements”. But as you may have seen already, people become creative when it comes to labeling their ad units. I’ve seen people putting, “Articles, Navigation, Books, and Latest News” as the title of the ad unit.
Usually Google sends out warning letters first if they think you are using a wrong label. Just be careful of what you are doing with it.

They reported that overall, the delivery rate has been increased to 19.2% from 21% last year due to sophisticated technology. But considering that almost 20% of our permission-based emails are not getting delivered, I think it is not good enough. Take a look at some stats.
% of Blocked Emails (Permission-based)
Highest Five
Excite - 50.7%
Adelphia - 33.5%
Gmail - 34.3%
Hotmail - 22.7%
MSN - 22.4%
Lowest Four
CompuServe - 11.8%
USA.net - 13.2%
AOL - 14.1%
Yahoo - 15.2%
Gmail has one of the highest % of emails blocked, but they have only 2.87% of false positives (emails incorrectly identified as spam). Which is below an average (3.29% in the US).
If you have a list or send out newsletters, you should educate your list members about properly whitelisting your email address. Also consider using a mailing service company that works with various ISPs to get their emails delivered properly.

I was on the phone for about 4 hours trying to help him out. He devoted 10 years in college education and he just got fired from a firm that he had been working for about 6 month. With serious debt over $70,000 (yikes!!!) in student loan alone, he’s ready to do whatever he can do.
He’s a type of person who’d never start a business. When I was working hard to get my online businesses to settle he was the one who tried to convince me to get a real job. Well, I had already made a decision to change my path. I knew what I liked the most and I knew internet marketing was the thing for me. At that time, none of my friends and family understood me. But they weren’t limiting me from starting my own businesses both online and offline.
So my friend is in desperate situation and wants my help. Fortunately, he’s still a single, so no families to take care. he’s 28 and… he’s living in his parent’s house…. so other than the student loan and car payments, I think he can live with about $2000 a month. Well, you can get basically any full time job and earn $2000. But I guess he has more expenses that I don’t know.
For 4 hours, I told him everything I know about starting a business of his own so he doesn’t have to worry about getting fired again. He has excellent education background and I emphasize again, single. Which means he still has a room for taking risk of starting a business. I told him, “how about this… how about that… how about what I’m doing, are you willing to come to my house and learn exactly what I’m doing?” and guess what. Even though he’s in desperate situation, something’s limiting him from getting out of his comfort zone.
I really don’t know what it is but whenever I suggested something, he’d give me excuses why he couldn’t do. After 4 hours of conversation his decision is that he’s going back to school so that he doesn’t have to pay the school loan whil he’s at school! and meanwhile, he’s going to get a government job. Starting from scratch.
I felt really dizzy when I heard that and wanted to yell at him. I offered a private consulting for free, and he knows I earn a living from online, but he’s still afraid of even to see what I have to offer him for free.
Well, my point is that, if you really want to go to the next level of your potential, you really need to get out of your comfort zone. Your perceived limitation is just that, perceived by your previous experiences. You are not going to be able to step beyond your perceived limitations unless you decide to try something out of what you’ve been doing.
So what’s limiting you from becoming a better you? Think about it. Don’t let those limiting thoughts decide your destiny.
Just a thought for the night. I need to sleep now. Good night!

September 24th, 2006 | Permalink | Trackback URL | Comments(0)Here is a niche topic from my research file. I have a few hundred topics that needs to be explored and this is one of them. The word is…
alopecia areata (AA)
According to AAD (American Academy of Dermatology), nearly 2% of the U.S. population suffer from alopecia areata. If you are not familiar with the word, it is a hair loss in small, round patches that may go away on their own, or may last for many years. So who gets it? AA occurs world-wide in both genders and in every ethnic group. Children and young adults are most frequently affected, but persons of all ages are susceptible. One in five persons with AA has a family member who also has the disease.
This is a very annoying thing to have especially if you are a woman. I know from my own experience how difficult it is to live with AA. My wife had AA and we tried everything and purchased many products to cure AA. We’ve spent a small fortune on it. Just image having a hole in your hair for years.
Anyway, this can be very lucrative market to get into. General hairloss market is very crowded now. AA could be a great topic if you still want to get into hair loss market.
When you research for keywords, consider abbrev. and spelling errors. Also other terms such as circular hair loss and circular patch.
Have fun with the keyword :)
