All articles on the site will be unique.  My plan is to write a single article each day.  I’ve added two articles today and I will start article marketing on this site starting tomorrow.

This niche blog is built with WordPress and my custom theme which is designed for phpBay. But my main focus with this site will be Adsense revenue. Although it doesn’t rank well for any keywords right now, I’m sure it will do just fine with my new set of niche keywords.

The topic of the niche blog is in home improvement area. I do see great potential with this site. I’m going to submit 2-4 articles starting tomorrow.

Here are the things I tried to track down the problem.
1) I removed Adsense ads one by one to see if one of the ads was causing the problem
2) I removed Analytics code to see if it was causing the problem
3) I installed WP Cache plugin to see if it helped – it did, but I didn’t like the idea
4) Finally I removed RSS2HTML code from the site – now my site’s loading time is less than 0.5 seconds.

Yes, it was RSS2HTML script that was slowing down my website. Now I have no choice but to remove it. I’m sure there’s a way to optimize how the script is called to my website and stuff, but I don’t feel like going through all that. I just simply removed the entire script and replaced it with a WP_Query statement. It works just fine for that particular site because it was not feeding from outside source.

So if your site is slow and happen to be using RSS2HTML, now you know why. :)

My niche website #3 will be a micro niche website built with pure HTML.  For this project, I’m following the Adsense Masters Course written by XFactor.  So far, I’ve finished the step #1 out of 7.  I can’t really explain what this is about, but if you own a copy of Adsense Masters Course, you’d know.  But basically, the first step is researching my niche topic based on the criteria set by the course and build the first page.  I’ve done all that and already submitted articles to the directories.

In this course, the author provides us a XSitePro template, but I made my own using HTML and CSS from scratch. But my template looks exactly like the one the author is using to make $300-$500 every day with Adsense.

The only source of income generated from this new niche blog will be Adsense or text ads.  I might integrate some affiliate programs, but I don’t want to sell something that I haven’t tried.  I will have to think about that.

So far with my new niche website #2, I’ve done :

1. Installed WordPress 3.0
2. Installed a premium theme
3. Wrote 2 posts.  I wrote about my personal story about living with this horrible skin condition.

The reason why I started niche website #2 so soon is that this new niche blog will require me to write posts regularly.  This is something I can handle while working on niche site #1.

It took me about 2 hours to build a 5 page website with unique content.  I had only 1 hour each day to spend on this project for last two days.  It should have been done yesterday.

So far, the site isn’t listed on Google.  I know it takes some time, but I sometimes find my new sites get listed in just few days.  I was kind of hoping for that :)

My next move will be ordering about 12 articles on the subject.  4 unique articles and 2 re-written articles for each subject.  I will be submitting the articles to article directories.

And tonight, I will be working on my niche website #2, which will be a niche blog.  I think I will be sharing the URL for this blog as soon as I get it up.  It’s going to be about a skin health where I log my progress of healing.  I personally suffer from this skin condition.  So it will be my blog where I experiment different kind of products to cure this skin condition.  No, it’s not acne :)

1. Registered “Main-Keyword.com”
2. Installed WordPress 3.0
3. Installed my customized theme which is optimized for phpbay
4. Creating contents for 4 pages which are :
   1. Main-Keyword.com/Sub-Keyword1.html
   2. Main-Keyword.com/Sub-Keyword2.html
   3. Main-Keyword.com/Sub-Keyword3.html
   4. Main-Keyword.com/Sub-Keyword4.html

As soon as I’m done with the contents, I will be integrating phpBay so that each post displays 9 eBay search results within the post.

What the hell?

So I played with the plugin setting for about 5 minutes and found an easy solution. Here is how I fixed the error.

1. Open your comments.php from your theme folder and search for “form action“. At the end of that line, you will see id=”something” or if you don’t see id, just type in id=”commentform”
2. Go to “WP Thread Comment” settings
3. Under “Edit Comment Form ID” type in “something” or “commentform” if you just typed that in.
4. Press “Update Options” and you will be all set.

The first niche website is called “main-keyword.com” Fortunately, this two-word domain was available! I found another possible niche product to sell, but I will do it after I launch the first site.

Niche website #1 is going be a phpBay website selling those niche products. What I can tell you is that the niche I’m going after has to do with sporting. In the future posts, I will share with you some screen shots.

For this phpBay site, I’m going to be using my customized template. It is a very simple 2-column WordPress theme with content on the left and menu on the right. The header will contain a product image as logo followed by site title and description.
